"Our Agile and DevOps journey so far" with Glenn Gibson and David Graham of Newcastle BS followed by "Why automating deployments is a great way to kick start your DevOps initiative" with David Darwent of Sage

Talk One

Two years ago Newcastle Building Society's Development and Operations arm came to the realisation that our processes weren't working any more, and the process of delivering new client software would grow increasingly slow and difficult.
We'll talk about the steps we've taken so far in our Agile and DevOps journey, and where we want to be. We'll look at the technologies and tools used to streamline and automate our processes, and the cultural change that's happening organically.

Talk Two

The first talk will be a retrospective of our teams journey to automate deployments at Sage and why, with hindsight, it's been great way to kick start our DevOps journey. It'll cover off lessons learnt and some of the unexpected consequences.
The speaker, David Darwent, is a Senior Live Services Specialist, who has been working at Sage for around 7 years, transitioning from a traditional sysadmin to the public cloud and a more DevOps way of thinking.

As usual there will be food, drinks and great conversation!
