DevOps Oxford - Solution Rooms

Our first event of 2021 will be a Solution Room event. We are asking attendees to bring a problem. If you have a DevOps related problem or issue that you would like to share with the group then this is an opportunity to hopefully find a solution.

How it will work...

We are looking for problem holders to host solution rooms.

This is an online event so we will be using solution rooms (Zoom breakout rooms), each solution room will be hosted by a problem holder. The problem holder will present their problem and open up to attendees for comments, ideas, and suggestions. At the end we will reconvene and present and discuss together the outcome of each solution room.

We asked attendees to submit in advance ideas for solution rooms and then everybody voted on the different ideas. The two solution rooms with most votes were:

• How to build containers which are small and secure
• How to build an engineering team

We look forward to discuss these topics in the solution rooms! This is a new format for us, so we are hoping it will prove useful as well as offering the opportunity for contribution across attendees.
