This month we have a special treat for you! We’ll have a HashiCorp certified trainer showing our attendees how to maximise how you’re using Terraform(IaC) and make sure that the code you write to manage your infrastructure lives up to the highest standards!

From the presenter himself:
Sentinel allows customers to implement policy-as-code in the same way that Terraform implements infrastructure-as-code. It helps to solve the industry problem with regards to infrastructure standards when utilising IaC, ensuring consistency and compliance of developed configurations. Following best practices, we will shift the controls to the left and leverage the HashiCorp sentinel to detect security concerns or any derivations from the standards you want to enforce in your code.

At the end of the session, you will be able to write and test policies that prevent you from using resources, data sources and modules that don’t comply with the set standards before you try to provision them with Terraform!
No previous experience is necessary, but knowledge about IaC/Terraform will be beneficial.

Note:
This is going to be a hands-on session so please bring your laptop. We will provision a lab environment for you, so anything with the web browser from this century should be sufficient!

We are going to stream the session so you’ll need to be seated by 18:30.
