About Anil Jaising and his Talk:
Provide people with information about their actions in real time, then give them a chance to change those actions, pushing them toward better behaviors. The four stages in feedback loop are Evidence, Relevance, Consequence and Action. In this talk we explore feedback loops in nature, man made and software engineering. We dig deeper into Agile and DevOps feedback loops, their difference and symbiotic nature and finally a demo of a Jira plugin that serves as a feedback loop across the software development and post production tool chain, a hygiene tool that guides the team towards maintaining better hygiene in those tools and finally a great metrics tool for trend analysis.
In 22 years of software development in financial services and software startups Anil has a unique perspective on agile principles and practices. In every role such as C++ and Java Developer, an Architect, an engineering and a delivery manager, and an Agile Coach Anil has been able to both learn and relearn agile values in teamwork and collaboration while delivering working software as well as enable others to recognize benefits of Agile and DevOps.
