Mathbreakers (http://www.mathbreakers.com) and Devoxx4Kids (http://www.devoxx4kids.org/usa/) team up to bring you the ultimate math-breaking play time!

Hello parents! We invite you and your kids to play-test a pre-release version of Mathbreakers, a revolutionary 3D video game that takes you on an adventure through a world of numbers. Come join us as we battle number monsters, build algorithmic fortresses and embark on a quest for the mighty fractions sword!!!

• What's going to happen at this workshop? Mathbreakers is in alpha-development, so we love letting kids (and parents) play the game to hear what you really think about it! Here's your chance to help shape the future of educational games :-)

• How will I convince my child to play a math game?! You don't have to convince them! If your kids enjoy Minecraft or 3rd person RPG's, they'll have a great time.

• What age range is appropriate for Mathbreakers? We'll be playing a version of the game designed for 6- to 12-year-olds (but older kids and grownups really enjoy the game and have great design ideas as well!)

Requirements

• Each attendee must have a laptop (Windows or Mac only).

• At least 1GB of free disk space. If the laptop only has that much space, highly recommend freeing up some space for a better performance.

• 4GB of RAM would work, but 8GB is recommended. Higher memory will work, of course!

Logistics

• One registration will allow only one kid to participate. Parents are required to stay at the facility for the entire duration of the workspace and may observe from back of the room. There is wifi at the venue and so you may consider bringing your favorite device(s) to stay connected.

• Please bring water bottle/snacks for yourself.
