DevOps World + Devoxx4Kids Pokemon Workshop

Details
Join us in our Pokemon kids workshop! It's a simple game written in Javascript and HTML. It uses a game engine called Phaser. Participants are not expected to write this game from scratch, only to make some modifications to it.
Workshop is split into a few parts:
- quick presentation of a game itself
- a few exercises to practice simple JavaScript structures (variables, functions, conditional statements)
- explanation how code is connected to what participants see in the game
- time for modifications made by participants
It will be taking place on Saturday, September 19 at 10am PST / 1pm EST / 7pm CEST and last around 90 minutes. We recommend children are aged from 10-12+.
Requirements:
- Parent/Guardian must be present during the duration of the workshop
- Chrome browser (although Phaser should work on all popular browsers, but this app was tested on Chrome)
- Text editor (a little better than Windows Notepad, eg. Notepad++ on Windows or TextWrangler on Mac OS) installed.
- Mac (OS X 10.13 or later) or Windows machine
- 8GB ram
- Access to Zoom technology
No knowledge of JavaScript or HTML is necessary, although it's obviously helpful.
Please note that spaces are limited to 80 in total. Due to the small sessions that we need to break out into to ensure everyone can follow along.
