Introduction and hands-on experience with CAD (Computer-Aided Design)

--Are you interested in Robotics and planning to join the Robotics Club in High School?
--Are you intrigued by designing cool things like parts of a Robot?

If these questions captivate you, then the introductory course on 3D modeling is for you!

In this course, you will learn tools available for 3D designing, basics, and finally how to design.

• We will first learn sketching, the foundation for all models.
• After, we will learn how to bring the sketch into 3D and real-life by learning the extrude function and some 3D theories.
• And in no time, you will be able to create your own model.
• Finally, if you want you can 3D print your created model.

Requirements:

1. Parent/Guardian must be present during the duration of the workshop
2. Any modern browser from Mac, PC, Chromebook would work
3. Create an account at https://www.onshape.com/
4. Access to Zoom technology

2. Click on "Sign In on top right corner"
3. Click on "Sign up"
4. Select the 2nd option "OnShape Education" to create an account
5. Fill up all the required information.
   For graduation year, middle schoolers can put their middle school graduation year.
   -> You will be able to create a free educational account.
   -> You should pick all default options after they login 1st time.
