Tijdens deze meetup zullen er 2 talks zijn. Amer Grgic (Senior Solutions Architect @ AWS) zal het spits afbijten waarna Ivica Kolenkas (Data Platform Infrastructure Lead @ Bestseller) de 2e talk voor zijn rekening zal nemen.
Amer Grgic zal ons in zijn talk handvaten geven hoe organisatie veerkracht kunnen verweven in hun DevOps manier van werken waardoor het net zo fundamenteel onderdeel wordt als Continuous Integration en Continuous Deployment.

Ivica Kolenkas gaat je in zijn lezing laten zien hoe drie ingenieurs dit platform voor meer dan 50 stakeholders hebben gebouwd en nu beheren. Ga mee in zijn reis over hoe men Terraform, Ansible, Snowflake en andere tools gebruikten, met welke uitdagingen ze als early adopters te maken kregen, en over de overwinningen die men behaalden bij het bouwen van een selfservice dataplatform als code.

Talk Amer Grgic - Building Continuous Resilience into Modern DevOps Pipelines:
In today's rapidly evolving digital landscape, traditional disaster recovery approaches are no longer sufficient. Modern systems require a shift from reactive recovery to proactive resilience - a concept we call "continuous resilience."
This talk explores how organizations can weave resilience into every aspect of their DevOps practices, making it as fundamental as continuous integration and continuous deployment. We'll examine how to transform from periodic disaster recovery testing to building systems that actively anticipate, adapt to, and recover from failures in real-time.

Talk Ivica Kolenkas - Data & analytics platform as code and DevOps principles:
Imagine trying to accurately forecast how many white shirts you will need seven months from now. Upscale this to tens of thousands of clothing items, across 20 fashion brands and it becomes difficult. What makes it almost impossible is the fact that the source data is siloed, contains errors and lacks ownership.
At Bestseller, we tackled these challenges by building a self-service data analytics platform as code with DevOps principles.
The mission: enable data engineers, data scientists, and machine learning engineers to create and share reusable data products with business teams—making actionable data as available as electricity.
In this talk I’ll demonstrate how three engineers built and now manage this platform for over 50 stakeholders. Join me in sharing our journey on how we used Terraform, Ansible, Snowflake and other tools, which challenges we faced as early adopters, and the victories we won while building a self-service data platform-as-code.
