Welcome to another DevQOps meetup. Join us and enjoy three inspiring talks (in English) about End-to-End Confidence: Reproducible Builds and Container Security.
We will serve something to eat and refreshments, and there will be some time for mingle between the talks.
TALKS
1. Claes and Fredrik: Build and Run - What could possibly go wrong?
Every team builds and runs software — but can you trust what ends up in production? This intro talk explores where things go wrong between build and runtime, from inconsistent environments to drifting containers, and sets the stage for how reproducibility and runtime security help you keep control.
About the speakers: Claes and Fredrik are the hosts of DevQOps and run the business area Quality at Regent, both having long experience from QA and DevOps in the software industries.
2. Mark Dickie: Reproducible build and dev environments with Nix
Wouldn't it be great if you could standardise the dev environment for all of your developers. Same tools, dependencies and all version locked? Even if they are on Windows, MacOS or Linux. What then if your pipelines could execute in the same environment, and your containers. Nix has entered the chat.
About the speaker:
Originally from Scotland and with a background in telecoms, data networks, build systems and DevOps Mark has gotten his teeth into most tech problems over the last 20+ years. A proven leader in DevOps and engineering teams, with deep expertise in Terraform, Ansible, VoIP, and containerised solutions. Passionate about scalable architecture, best practices, and knowledge sharing within agile environments.
3. Hannes Ullman: Runtime security that moves with the speed of development
With the introduction of containers and Kubernetes, together with the increasing developer velocity, application security is more complex than ever. This session introduces key aspects of how runtime security for containerized workloads is handled, presenting a developer-friendly approach that enables both shift-left and shield-right application security.
About the speaker: Hannes is the co-founder and CEO of Bifrost Security, with a long track record in software and business development. With a strong and diverse tech background, having worked on everything from building iOS applications and backends to deploying SAP templates, he is always curious and ready to learn more.
