DevSecCon is bringing you a free workshop to keep your DevSecOps skills up and running!

--- What is happening at this workshop? ---

Cyber security is a big and increasing problem. Almost every week we hear of a new exploit or security breach, and increasingly it affects every aspect of our lives. For developers it now impacts almost every development project they work on.

However, software security is a complicated subject, and it can be very helpful to find a new way to think about it. This workshop will use a game devised at Security Lancaster to encourage security discussion. You will be given a secure app product to manage, and offered a variety of choices which security functionality to implement. Based on your choices, your product will thrive or possibly wither.

--- Who will be presenting? ---

Charles Weir
Charles has many years of experience leading teams implementing apps, and more recently secure mobile apps. He is currently researching how programmers learn about security, with the Security Lancaster group at Lancaster University. His research has turned up surprising results on the lack of incentive for programmers to implement secure systems, and a variety of positive approaches for secure app projects.

Francois Raynaud
Francois is the founder of DevSecCon and a Security and DevSecOps specialist with over 15 years’ international experience in FTSE 100 and Fortune 500 companies. He has developed products with innovative security capabilities across a variety of industry verticals including cutting edge SOC and CERT solutions.
