DevSecOps for Industrial IoT

For our February event we will be live at the Just Eat Office with our guest speaker Darren Richardson, Cloud Security Architect at Eficode.

Synopsis:
Darren will be sharing his experiences developing DevOps and security practices across the entire range of IoT systems from his time working as a Security Expert for AI-powered startups and a provider of DevOps systems for critical infrastructure suppliers.

Darren started this journey in a highly specialised AI-based startup tackling the problems of the shipping industry with devices to bring machine learning to the extreme edge-cases and the challenges in securing them.

He then took a step back to address the larger scale issue of supply chain issues facing the development of software for (amongst others) Finnish critical infrastructure providers. A topic of critical importance for Finland given their "Not-quite-NATO" status and precarious Eastern neighbour. (Slightly out of date now. Go Finland.)

Now the presenter has a story to tell. The journey will go from the threat modelling processes for applied DevOps in IoT, technical controls, data protection requirements and more, before shifting focus to the supply chain to tackle the problems when you find yourself adjacent to vital Industrial-IoT targets.
