Hi DevSecOps'ers,

Are you ready for the first physical #DevSecOpsNL meetup in 2022? We are very excited after 2 years of not being able to properly organize the meetups in person but now we are back! For the first meetup in 2022 Trend Micro has been so kind to host us and to sponsor food and drinks! Please note; there will be no online streaming possibilities.

Please RSVP to let us know if you are coming. If for some reason you cannot join the session anymore, please remove your RSVP so others can attend in case of a waiting list.

This time, we will only have limited space available at the location.

Please find more detailed information below.

See you there!

Irfaan Santoe
Summary:
Automation is not DevSecOps, but without automation there is no DevSecOps! Secret management, SAST, DAST, Pen Testing, Container Security, Secure Config Management etc. are about automating security. But let me ask you, can one reach nirvana in securing DevOps with sole automation? This talk will address ALL dimensions required for doing security in DevOps, so we get it right!

Bio:
Irfaan Santoe is a Global Security Director advising the Business & IT on the information security ambition & implementation. Prior to Wolters Kluwer, Irfaan was the Global Head of Security Engineering at ABN AMRO bank and lead the security implementation of ABN AMRO’s IT transformation towards DevOps. This transformation program is set to uplift more than 500+ Dev-teams to become DevOps and increase security without breaking DevOps! Irfaan is a Master in Computer Science (a programmer by heart) and is fascinated by the Inner Science of Yoga & Meditation.

Sebastiaan van der Meer
Summary:
DevOps teams work at a drumbeat of weeks. Needing approvals to start using (or worse: continue using) a tool that is incorporated takes too long. Using only what was available in the old world, preapproved and chewed out, isn’t working either. Start thinking of your Security team and Infrastructure Delivery team as shops, with stuff on the shelf that is readily available. What needs to be on those shelves and how would you offer it to DevOps teams?

Bio:
Sebastiaan van der Meer is the Hybrid Cloud Security Sales Engineer and DevSecOps Evangelist at Trend Micro. He has been working in IT since childhood, building computers in the store down the road. Since then he has been working as system administrator since 1999, growing into a consultancy role in 2007. After 13 years at all kinds of projects through all kinds of employers he has been a pen-tester, DevOps wizard team leader and anything in between. After his last position as a senior consultant with Accenture he made the switch to Trend Micro, with a security platform focused on providing security for (hybrid) clouds. In his current role he is involved in projects at several clients moving to the cloud and providing security for those migrations.

Location:
Parking is available under the offices of Trend Micro, P10 Plaza Arena. Trend Micro will validate the parking. When arriving, they are located in the Jupiter Building, upon arriving they will make sure you can enter. If you arrive and there is nobody present downstairs, please call Sebastiaan van der Meer, 0031613914910
