Getting to know Node.JS & Windows Azure PaaS - Marc Gagné

Just how easily can you deploy Node.js to Windows Azure? The answer is very! In this brief overview we'll deploy a Node.js application to Windows Azure Websites as well as to Windows Azure Cloud Services, a more full featured multi-staging environment with features like auto-scale, load balancing and automatic failure recovery. We'll use Git & GitHub and maybe even show off some node.js debugging in Visual Studio.

Marc Gagné is a Senior Technical Evangelist at Microsoft Canada with a passion for startups, the cloud & the web. Before embarking on this chapter of his career he worked at a startup in his hometown of Ottawa, Ontario trying to solve the big data & analytics problem. This isn’t his first time with Microsoft though, having worked in Dublin, Ireland & Redmond, Washington as a developer and manager on a number of great projects.
