Edward Apostol - Creating a Simple VR Demo using React!
Edward is going to guide you in a story about using React VR to build VR apps using only JavaScript. He even taught his Mom how to do it! And if his Mom can do it, so can you!
Virtual Reality is hitting the mainstream and has become more accessible to consumers than ever before. There is a large market for building digital experiences, and it has practical implications from showcasing products and services from remote locations to enhancing learning and educational experiences. Edward will demonstrate his latest version of his VR pet project work using React VR the foundation to explore new "virtual worlds". This will be a practical demo so hopefully you will be able to experience it for yourself!
As a veteran technology consultant Edward has worked with clients such as Hewlett-Packard, The Body Shop, CBC, and even the NYPD producing web and mobile applications as a "jack of all trades" developer. Quick to learn new technologies, Edward has also taught budding developers at various corporate training firms and institutions, including Ryerson University and Red Academy, preaching the latest development techniques and methodologies. Edward is an author of two books, speaker, and courseware creator from topics as wide-ranging as iOS Swift and administrating JBoss Servers. And he teaches yoga in his spare (spare!) time.
