//Talk: What is UX writing, and how do we do it at Wix, by Rachel Rowland, the Head of Writers at Wix
Rachel will give an introduction to UX writing. She’ll discuss how important it is to building and designing great products, and what makes it different from other types of content creation. She’ll also touch upon the approach to UX writing at Wix.
Rachel has always had a passion for language and studied Comparative and English Literature before she moved to Israel in 2007. Before taking her role as head of writers, Rachel spent 6 years leading content projects across Wix that ranged from the technical to the visual, on teams across the company.
//Talk: Journey to UX Writing by Ffion Quick, UX Writer at Wix Vilnius
During this interactive presentation, Ffion will speak about her adventure of moving from the UK to Lithuania to boost her career as a UX writer at Wix. You’ll gain new insights and receive the knowledge she learnt along the way.
For the last 10 years Ffion Quick has been creating digital content. She made a big transition in her career from writing promotional and social digital content as a freelancer, to writing UX content for R&D product teams at Wix. Ffion now writes the interface copy (and more) for Wix Events, one of the most popular tools online used to create websites selling event tickets.
//Q&A Session: Inga Jakimcikaite and Marija Zilinskaite alongside speakers
An open panel with our speakers and two other UX writers at Wix. Our panelists will answer questions you have about the profession, about breaking into UX writing, and about the creative process at Wix. Feel free to ask for advice on relevant resources to broaden your understanding of writing techniques, how to write with the user in mind, and the general tools of the trade. It’s also a great time to ask more about a UX writer's business impact.
We’re excited to give a warm welcome to writers in Vilnius, and look forward to seeing you at the event!
