East Bay "Democracy for America" Meetup Message Board › Who will you vote for?

Who will you vote for?

Eden J.
Live in the East Bay?

Do you know who you will be voting for on June 3?

STATE SENATE DISTRICT 9: Wilma Chan or Loni Hancock?

ASSEMBLY DISTRICT 14: Phil Polakoff, Nancy Skinner, Tony Thurmond, or Kriss Worthington?

You can meet and hear from each of these candidates at this Wednesday's Oakland DFA Meetup. And, if you are a member of East Bay for Democracy, you can vote to endorse a candidate in each race as well.

We will also be conducting another endorsement vote for President.
With only Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama remaining in the race, it's quite possible one candidate will reach our 60% threshold for endorsement.

Proposition 93 was voted down on February 5th. That means Senator Don Perata (District 9) and Assemblywoman Loni Hancock (District 14) will be termed out. In preparation for the June Primary and to play our part in the California Democratic Party's endorsement process leading up to the March 28 - 30 California Democratic Party convention, we'll hear from the Democratic candidates running for these two critical East Bay seats at our Meetup.

Former Assemblywoman Wilma Chan of the 16th AD

Assemblywoman Loni Hancock of the 14th AD

Dr. Phil Polakoff

Nancy Skinner, Member East Bay Regional Parks District Board

Tony Thurmond, Member Richmond City Council

Kriss Worthington, Member Berkeley City Council

EAST BAY FOR DEMOCRACY Club Meeting @ 8:35

Following the Meetup, the East Bay for Democracy Democratic Club will consider endorsement votes for Senate District 9 and Assembly District 14.

We'll also consider endorsements of progressive grassroots candidates for the Alameda County Democratic Central Committee.

AND, we may just take another endorsement vote for the Democratic Party presidential race.

PLUS we'll vote on our 2008 Club Officers.

See you on Wednesday!
