This time we will have the meetup devided in two parts.

At the beginning we will have two presentations. One from Jack Perkins and one from Tal Hershkovich.

Jack Perkins is an artist making games as part of AAA collective. His interests in blender are both in traditional modelling and rigging and also building pipeline tools for solo game development. What further tools could be created to make the cumbersome workflow of game dev easier?

Tal Hershkovich started working as a 3D animator in 2005 at pitchipoy productions, in Jaffa Tel-aviv. In 2008 he relocated to Berlin, and also switched to Blender as his main tool. In his presentation he will show an animated pitch, the animatic and rigs for a cartoon series that he is currently developing, as well as some more recent client Blender work. His website can be found at

Then we will try for the first time to create a new format.

An arbitrary title is presented in advance. In this case is:

"meeting at the eclipse"

From the publication of the title (now) to the day of the meetup, you can create something related (based on your own interpretation) on the title. It can be anything you want: an animation, a model, a particle system.. whatever you think is interesting for you.

If you don't feel like doing anything you are not forced to, of course.

The day of the meetup we will share with each other the result or work in progress of what we have been doing.

This time we will be hosted for the first time by Saftladen, a great indie game collective in Berlin:

The seats are limited so is very important that you confirm if you are coming.

Looking forward to see you then! And a little reminder: I'm still trying to create a more diverse space for people using Blender, that is not "the white western male only interested on technical aspects of Blender". I think there are already enough spaces for that people to go. So please help me create a space for us that don't identify with that :)

You can join the slack channel, and if you have any question I'll be happy to answer:
