Power BI Meets AI: The MCP Server That Changes Everything
Generative AI is rapidly reshaping development workflows, and the brand new Power BI MCP Server released at Ignite brings that capability directly into the semantic modeling and analytics stack. This session provides a technical dive into implementing and using Power BI’s MCP servers for automated model creation, metadata management, DAX scripting, and natural-language query execution. Demos will show how to automate report tasks, perform bulk refactoring, and enable conversational analytics using secure, governed access.
If you’re a Power BI developer who wants to build faster, automate the boring work, and shift effort from grunt tasks to real design and logic, the MCP Server is the upgrade you’ve been waiting for.
