It's time to start planning for the next DFW Retrocomputing meetup. If you have something to bring for show and tell, please do! It can be something new, or something you already brought before. There will be tables and extension cords for exhibits. Or, just bring yourself!

The next event after this may be in October instead of July, in order to head off retrocomputing fatigue, since the VCF Southwest is scheduled to resume here in Dallas in June.

In order to accommodate timing for the lightning talk portion, the meetup is starting at 2:30 p.m., and ends at 6:30 p.m. Setup may begin at 2:00pm, and breakdown is allowed until 7:00 pm.

The classroom series is scheduled to start at 3:30 in the North Lobby meeting room, and will last until 4:30 pm.

Lightning talk schedule:
3:30 - 4:00 - Thomas Cherryhomes, "FujiNet - Coming soon to Apple ][ and Commodore/Commander X16"
4:00 - 4:30 -TBD

If you have any interesting topic you may want to talk about for 15-30 minutes, let me know and I will put you on the schedule. Suggested Topics:
- A brief introduction.
- A Current project
- A quick How to tutorial
- Historical notes, from personal experience or research

As on prior meetups, we will continue to have a swap/sale/givaway table. Labels will be available to mark your items.

For this event, we are making some changes to address congestion and logistics issues.

We are adding a signup sheet for table space, and for volunteers to help setup, break down, and greet folks at the door. Any volunteer help would be greatly appreciated.

If you are planning to bring a computer for show and tell, use the signup page to reserve a table. Each slot is 1/2 of a table, which usually works out well. If your exhibit will require a whole table, go ahead, but please be considerate in the event that the tables start to fill up. Walk-in exhibits will be welcome to use unclaimed table space, if there is any. But if table space does fill up, we will not be adding more. I don't expect exhibit space to be an issue for this meetup.

This time, we are limiting giveaway/sale/trade to two tables, which will either be in the front lobby or outside.

The signup has a postage-stamp sized picture of the table layout. I'm including a link to a better photo of the table layout so you know what you are signing up for.

Hopefully the changes will mean a smoother meetup with less hassle moving machines in and out, and nobody lost or stranded waiting for access.

We continue to evaluate alternate venues.

As always, please RSVP so we know how much Pizza to bring.
