Name: Hiking Cedar Ridge Outer Loop Trail (Cedar Ridge Preserve)

This is a 6.4 mile hike of the Cedar Ridge Preserve- A network of trails known as the Cedar Ridge Outer Loop. The trail includes elevations up to 682 ft. We will start at the Possumhaw Trail, on to the Cedar Brake Trail, Pick up the Fossil Valley trail to Escarpment Trail and then Blue Bonnet and back via Mulberry Trail. Please know that this preserve has a lot of steps to these trails. Some areas are NOT for the faint hearted and can be challenging. Please bring plenty of water for hydration and a snack would help as well.

**ATTENTION:**
PARKING always fills up fast! If you could carpool that would be helpful. If you plan to park inside the park plan to arrive no later than 7:00 AM. If you see a long line waiting to get into the park, try to park at the Recreation center on your right, just before the park entrance, that is, if you are approaching the park from I-20. Across from the recreation center is a small baseball ground parking lot. If these are full, try to find a spot on the street on Blue Sage Dr on your left before the park entrance or on Long Canyon Trail on your right or left after the park entrance. **WE WILL BE STARTING THE HIKE AT 7:30 AM.** If you miss us try to catch up by reading our hike path and getting creative. Be safe and have fun :)

Also - Please be aware we are getting into the heat of the summer months in June - that is why we have an earlier start date - to avoid the heat.
