Welcome to TC Paddlesports. Whether your a kayaker, Canoeist or SUP'er there are activities for you! This group is sponsored by the Trinity Coalition, the non-profit that manages the Trinity River National Water Trail. Please check out our website at https://trinitycoalition.org/ .
When attending trips please arrive early enough before the posted departure time so you can load you boat and be ready to go. We require participants wear a personal flotation device (life jacket)
All members are encouraged to post ideas for trips as long as they are safe and within their abilities. Please feel free to get involved or ask questions.
Be aware that all participants are responsible for there own safety, if you feel a trip is being conducted in a unsafe manner or above your skill level you may leave the activity.

Stand Up Paddleboard Basics (SUP) Class Fort Worth

If you've ever tried a Stand Up Paddleboard, (SUP), you know it is not always easy to get it to do what you want. This 3+ hour class will cover the 6 basic strokes, equipment, safety, and how to do a rescue in the event of a fall. By the end of the class you will be able to maneuver your SUP with ease, and you will know when to paddle and when to stay on shore, as well as how to rescue and be rescued.
Our teachers are all certified instructors. (PSUPA Professional Stand Up Paddleboard Association)
$65 Includes all equipment: board, paddle, ankle leash, and PFD (life jacket).
Bring sunscreen, hat, drinking water, lunch or snack, and appropriate non-cotton clothing.
The first part of the class will be on land (in the shade). Then we will break for lunch/snack and the second part will be on the water, finishing with rescues.

Full Strawberry MOON paddle at Panther Island
TC Paddlesports at Panther Island, 480 N Taylor St, Fort Worth, TX, USEnjoy the sunset on the water and night on the Trinity River National Water Trail under the full moon. See the river forest by night and the city lights from the water under the full moon.
We will meet at TC Paddlesports at 7:15 PM and launch at approx 7:45 PM from the Panther Island Beach. We will paddle into the sunset. Once the sun is down, we will turn around to enjoy the calm water and the full moon over the city as we return to the beach.
Sunset 8:41 PM. Moonrise 8:07 PM.This is a beginner friendly trip of about 4 miles.

There is no launch fee but we request a donation to Trinity Coalition or a tip for our guides. Lights are available for $5 rental. (Required bright white light on stern that can be easily seen).
Bring water, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, as well as clothes and shoes that can get wet (YOU WILL HAVE TO STEP INTO THE WATER).

Rescheduled! Clean Up on Walnut Creek at Joe Pool
Loyd Park, 3401 Ragland Rd, Grand Prairie, TX, USThis event has been rescheduled to July 18 due to expected thunderstorms on the original date.
Celebrate our Texas paddle trails by participating in our Adopt-a-Stream cleanup with Keep Grand Prairie Beautiful. This is a chance to paddle a Texas Parks and Wildlife Paddle Trail and help the environment at the same time. Best of all--it's free!
PLEASE READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY!
We will launch from Loyd Park on Joe Pool Lake and paddle the Walnut Creek Paddle Trail, stopping to remove the pockets of trash that inevitably finds their way to the creek. Normally it is $20 per car to get into the park, but volunteers for this cleanup get in free, and if you need a boat, those are free as well so long as you preregister on the Grand Prairie Volunteer site and request a boat before Thursday July 16 at 4PM. (Limited number)

Once you register with Grand Prairie you will be sent a PDF of the pass you will need to get into the park for free.

PFD, personal flotation device, is required for every volunteer, but are supplied with every rental boat.What to wear: Long pants, man made materials, NO COTTON

This way you get to enjoy and experience the entire trail without getting bogged down with the trash at the beginning and missing the chance to see the whole trail.
