Welcome to TC Paddlesports. Whether your a kayaker, Canoeist or SUP'er there are activities for you! This group is sponsored by the Trinity Coalition, the non-profit that manages the Trinity River National Water Trail. Please check out our website at https://trinitycoalition.org/ .
When attending trips please arrive early enough before the posted departure time so you can load you boat and be ready to go. We require participants wear a personal flotation device (life jacket)
All members are encouraged to post ideas for trips as long as they are safe and within their abilities. Please feel free to get involved or ask questions.
Be aware that all participants are responsible for there own safety, if you feel a trip is being conducted in a unsafe manner or above your skill level you may leave the activity.

Basic Kayak Skills Class Fort Worth
TC Paddlesports at Panther Island, 480 N Taylor St, Fort Worth, TX, USThis class will be held at TC Paddlesports in Fort Worth.
If you've ever tried a kayak, you know it is not always easy to get it to do what you want. This 4+ hour class will cover the 6 basic strokes, equipment, safety, and how to do a rescue in the event of a capsize. By the end of the class you will be able to maneuver your kayak with ease, and you will know when to paddle and when to stay on shore, as well as how to rescue and be rescued.
Our teachers are all ACA (American Canoe Association) certified instructors.
$70 Includes all equipment: boat, paddle, and PFD (life jacket).
Bring sunscreen, hat, drinking water, lunch or snack, water friendly footwear (closed toed shoes), and appropriate non-cotton clothing. A change of clothes is recommended for after the class.
The first part of the class will be on land (in the shade). Then we will break for lunch/snack and the second part will be on the water, finishing with wet exits and rescues (optional).Prepayment or confirmation required (not just an RSVP Here on Meetup.) If you do not want to prepay you have to at least leave a message or call me so I can hold your spot. RSVP's alone are not enough to confirm your spot. Full FLOWER MOON paddle at Panther Island
TC Paddlesports at Panther Island, 480 N Taylor St, Fort Worth, TX, USJoin us for the May FULL MOON paddle. In celebration of the FLOWER Moon- wear or bring something with flowers.
We will first enjoy the sunset on the Trinity River National Water Trail then return to discover the city lights by night and the glory of the FULL MOON.
We will meet at TC Paddlesports at 6:30PM and launch at approx 7:00-7:30 PM from the Panther Island Beach. We will paddle into the sunset. Once the sun is down, we will turn around to enjoy the calm water and the full moon over the city as we return to the beach.
Meet at Panther Island Beach at 6:30 PM.
Launch at 7-7:30PM. Sunset 8:11PM.
This is a beginner friendly trip of about 4 miles.

Lights vests and guide provided.

There is no launch fee but we request a donation to Trinity Coalition or a tip for our guides. Lights are available for $5 rental. (Required bright white light on stern that can be easily seen).
Bring water, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, as well as clothes and shoes that can get wet (YOU WILL HAVE TO STEP INTO THE WATER).
