Epic Firefly / Fate Sci-Fi Campaign (East Plano/Wylie Area)

I am gauging interest in forming an epic, long-term game group with an initial multi-month Sci-Fi campaign, possibly moving on to other games systems in the future.

I want your feedback on what game system you'd like (Traveller, Firefly, Fate, etc.).

Chemistry between the players is very important so I will be working to get a team of players who enjoy each other and want to roll dice together for the long term campaigns! I'm looking for non-vulgar people who love to create interesting characters and like 50% or more of game time to be spent on roleplaying.

We'll start some public mini-campaign games at a public place in Plano (possibly Dallas Games Marathon). If we get a good group of players who are committed to a long term campaign, then I will relocate future sessions to my spacious, dedicated game room at my house in Wylie (just east of Plano). Our first games will start after March but I am doing early recruiting.

Initial public sessions will be some weeknight but the long term games in Wylie will be held on alternating weekends on either Friday Nights or Saturday/Sunday depending on when works best for the group. Games would probably start this summer so I'm starting early recruiting.
