Join Us for a Half-Day Meditation Retreat: Inner Peace in the Heart of the City
We warmly invite you to our temple for a half-day meditation retreat, offering a sanctuary of peaceful silence and self-discovery amidst the busyness of the city.
In the hustle and bustle of urban life, it’s easy to feel disconnected or overwhelmed. This retreat is an opportunity to reclaim inner peace and clarity in the heart of the city—a reminder that tranquility is always within reach, no matter our surroundings.
Just as we train our bodies for strength and endurance, we can train our minds to cultivate awareness, concentration, and resilience. This practice leads us to deeper states of calm, clarity, and insight. During this retreat, we will explore our inner light and strength through sitting, walking, and chanting meditation—practices that can be seamlessly integrated into our daily lives.
This retreat is open to all levels of practitioners, from beginners to seasoned meditators. The program will be held in Noble Silence, creating an environment that supports the development of concentration, compassion, and wisdom.
Discover the power of stillness and connection in the midst of the city, and leave feeling renewed, centered, and inspired.

https://wonbuddhismnyc.org/about/
Won Buddhism of Manhattan has served, for the last thirty years, as a spiritual home for New Yorkers. The Manhattan Won Buddhist Temple, which is also the site of the Won Buddhism UN Office, was founded in 1994. It is a place of peace and restoration, and a place to learn and practice Won Buddhism and meditation. Won Buddhists follow Sotaesan‘s vision of living the teaching of Buddha with simplicity and commitment in our highly modern and materialistic society.
