Walking Tour - Lower East Side (by NYC Guide Greg!)
Details
Dear Dharma Drink Friends,
Walking Tour: Lower East Side of Manhattan
Join us for a special walking tour led by our friend Greg, a licensed NYC guide and history enthusiast! Together, we’ll explore the once most densely populated pf ground on earth!
This is the traditional Lower East Side tour, 2 hours from Chinatown to the Lower East Side Tenement Museum
Greg will take us on a journey through Lower East Side Manhattan, visiting key historical sites, including:
- Elizabeth Street Garden — A beloved, sculpture-filled community garden and rare pocket of greenery amid the dense streets of Nolita/Lower East Side.
- Eldridge Street Synagogue — Completed in 1887, it was America’s first purpose-built synagogue founded by Eastern European Jewish immigrants and is renowned for its ornate restoration.
- Lower East Side Tenement Museum — Historic tenement apartments preserve and tell the lived stories of immigrant and working-class New Yorkers from the 19th and 20th centuries.
