As we encounter difficulties in life and on our journey, we explore ways to deal with them skillfully and even use them to our advantage, which can bring us inner strength and resilience. This includes all the tools and qualities we have been working with in this course—for instance, the sense of purpose, mental balance, warmheartedness, and wisdom.

Facing adversities and difficulties with such attitudes can help us build an inner strength or fortitude, which in turn will help us face greater challenges.
