Day-Long Shravasti Retreat with Khenmo Drolma (Online)

Details

Shravasti Meditation is a lifelong practice that uses the Buddha's Sutra on Mindfulness of Breathing as a structure. The training integrates daily sitting and movement practice from the Tibetan yogic system, Qigong, and Tai chi, creating a profound bodymind understanding that illuminates the stages of meditation and deepens compassion.

*REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED FOR THIS RETREAT*

Participants will move from a conceptual understanding of how our emotions and thoughts affect us to a direct, intimate experience of meditation's gradual taming of our busy and distracted mind. Retreats will integrate somatic wisdom, practical investigations of mental states, and compassion practice.

This series is a perfect opportunity for new and experienced meditators. This retreat is themed, "Coming to peace with who we are," with optional, yet recommended, pre-and-post discussions on the Wednesdays before and after this day-long retreat.

Khenmo Drolma of Vajra Dakini has been trained to teach this curriculum by its developer, meditation master HH Chetsang Rinpoche. Known for her accessible teaching methods, Khenmo draws from commentaries by Thich Nhat Hanh and her experience studying with Pema Chödrön. These practices were traditionally only taught in three-year retreats. For this reason, this is a precious opportunity!
