Overview of the Evidence for Biblical Faith

Details

We will look at a summary overview of many apologetic arguments for faith, and discuss whether the combination makes a compelling case. This includes the big bang, the fine-tuning of universal constants, factors in creating a life-support planet, the origin of life, the design of living things, archaeology that confirms the Bible, answered prayer, philosophical arguments, and more. Let's consider the shape of the scientific / philosophical forest before we get lost looking at the trees.

Our guest speaker, John Morgan, has been teaching about the intersection of science, philosophy, and faith for over 40 years. He graduated from the USAF Academy with a degree in Engineering Sciences, served five years in the US Air Force as an engineer, and worked for decades in information technology, systems design, database, and data design. He has has been an avid student of the sciences since he was a child and has continued keeping up with new discoveries.

Our speaker will present for around 20-30 minutes, and then everyone can ask questions, give their thoughts, and discuss the topic for another 40 minutes or so.

We welcome friendly disagreement, so please feel free to speak up!

The "Hard Questions" group is for anyone interested in a friendly dialogue between Christians, atheists, agnostics, skeptics, and anyone else with an inquiring mind.
