Special Lecture: Buddhism in the Modern World

Special Event! Introduction to Buddhism by teacher Masha Chlenova, Saturday August 22nd at 7pm. After the lecture there will be a short meditation and opportunity for Q/A. There is no charge for this event.

About the teacher: Masha Chlenova grew up in Moscow and moved to New York City 31 years ago. She met Lama Ole and Hannah Nydahl in 2001, took Buddhist refuge and has been practicing and taking part in the activity of the Diamond Way Buddhist center in NYC since then. At the request of Lama Ole she has been sharing her understanding and experience of Buddhism since 2009. Professionally she is an art historian and curator, specializing in modern art; currently she teaches at Eugene Lang College at The New School University.
