Hi, I'm the host. I'm from the UK, late-diagnosed AuDHD, and when I moved to Dubai I couldn't find neurodivergent-friendly spaces like the ones back home, so I made one. This is an English-speaking group, and it's open to everyone, all nationalities and backgrounds welcome, wherever you're from.
Dice & Divergence is a board game social in Dubai, by and for neurodivergent people. Asperger's (ASD Level 1), ADHD, AuDHD, and however else you identify or suspect you might. No diagnosis required, no proving you're "ND enough." If this sounds like your kind of room, it's for you.
We meet on Wednesday evenings at a board game café around JLT/Marina. Games are the point for a reason: shared focus and clear rules mean connection can happen around the table, without the pressure of open-ended small talk. Play if you want, watch if you'd rather, leave when you need to. No masking required.
Everything's built to be predictable and low-pressure. You'll always know roughly how the night runs before you arrive, and there's a simple system for signalling how much you feel like interacting. Come and just watch a table if that's your speed.
Now and then we run infodump nights too, with a few minutes each for anyone who wants to share something they're deep into. Special interest, current hyperfixation, glorious rabbit hole: all welcome.

Neurodivergent Board Game Night
tile Board Game Cafe, First Al Khail St - Al Thanyah Fifth - Jumeirah Heights, Dubai, AENeurodivergence can be a lonely experience, especially in a city like Dubai where everyone's passing through and finding your people is hard.
This is a relaxed board game night for neurodivergent adults: ADHD, Asperger's, AuDHD, or self-identifying, or just pretty sure you're wired a bit differently. If that's your vibe then you're welcome, diagnosis not required. It's built around the games so you don't have to force small talk. Come find your people at your own pace.
How the night works
- Arrive any time from 6:30pm. No pressure to mingle, grab a drink, find a table, settle in.
- We play at a few tables at once, with a mix of easy co-op games and quieter strategy ones. New to board games is completely fine, we'll pick things up together and there's always someone happy to explain the rules.
- Traffic-light badges so you control how much you interact:
🟢 Green, come talk to me
🟡 Yellow, I'll chat if you approach gently
🔴 Red, here and happy, but please don't approach- No pressure to talk beyond the game. You're welcome to just watch a table if that's your speed.
- We wrap at 9pm. Clear start, clear finish, no one's trapped.

- Joining is free. tile charges 30 AED per person to play, which covers the table and their full game library for the night. They've offered to bring that down once we're a regular fixture.
