Challenges of distributed agile teams

Details

The first event of the Agile from the trenches group will focus on the challenges of distributed agile teams.
Working in distributed teams in different locations or even time zones is becoming more and more common to agile practitioners. We invited two Diconium speakers that are currently facing these scenarios to share their experiences and show how they transformed challenging situations into successful experiences and learnings.

In the first talk (Scrum Master toolbox for effective work in a remote Scrum team), Rafael Lourenço will share his impressions, challenges, and main learnings regarding working as a Scrum Master in a completely remote Scrum team. He will approach topics like Communication & Collaboration, Psychological Safety & Feedback Culture, Best Practices for Remote Scrum Events, and Team Health in a distributed context.

In the second talk (Agile Scaled planning: how to deal with Teams across different time zones?), André Navarro will describe the challenges of planning and executing an Agile Full SAFe PI Planning with over 70 teams, 100% remote individuals, dispersed among locations and teams in different time zones for up to 9 hours. He will also share the mitigation strategies developed and the most valuable lessons learned.

The agile world is full of experimentation and knowledge sharing, so this is a great opportunity to get together and learn together (by the way: we will have some snacks and pizza & beer at the end ;))!
