oommm: our open meetup management meeting ⟡ open to all members

In the spirit of encouraging open feedback and transparent governance, all members are invited to come to the first ever oommm: our open meetup management meeting!

At this meeting, I'll be going over lessons learned from the first six weeks of organizing Difficult Friends and our current needs and challenges for the month ahead. I'll also walk people through our organizational values and event management/creation processes. In particular, I will share my plans to slowly convert the meetup into a more community-run and less founder-dependent organization over time. Members are also encouraged to come give feedback on our first six weeks of events!

Meetup management is a pretty dry and administrative affair compared to our fun group activities, so I'm not totally sure if anyone will show up for this. But I'll be getting some work done on the patio at Easy Tiger in case people want to:

• drop by to understand how the meetup is managed and how new events are created
• ask questions about how community decisions are made now and could be made differently in the future
• volunteer to help address some of our current bottlenecks and challenges
