I'll share what I know as an organizer of another group: some people just join meetup groups to sell their stuff. ?If that's the case, then the organizer can just remove the member and report him to meetup.com - If he IS a participating member, then he needs to be told that the way he's sharing his book is not appropriate. ?

Members should check with their group's organizer before sharing something that's not related to a meeting or a discussion. ?Another way members can share what they're up to is through the message board (as long as they don't abuse it by posting the same thing MULTIPLE times).
