Announcing a new Meetup for The Long Beach Digital Photography/Photoshop Meetup Group!

What: The Long Beach Digital Photography/Photoshop March Meetup

When: Thursday, March 4,[masked]:00 PM

Event fee: $1.00 per person

Where:
William Wade Fine Photography
5608 East Second Street
Long Beach, CA 90803
(562)[masked]

Instead of just looking around, let's try looking down for some good photographs. This could result in some very interesting images. Assignment #1: Down.

Every photographer knows that light is very important to the concept of good image creation. This challenge could be a good Photoshop (or other editing software) exercise. Show or improve the light using digital tools. Assignment number two is: Digital Light.

Assignment #3 is: A Wider View. Of course the first thing that comes to mind is a wide view landscape photograph, and those are just fine. However, you can interpret this concept as widely as you like.

Extra Credit Assignment: Make a good title photo with your name so we know whose photographs we are looking at.

All three of these are very loose and you can illustrate the concepts in any way that pleases you. Have fun, be creative. So there you have it, three brand new choices: Down, Digital Light and A Wide View. Feel free to choose just one, or if your are ambitious, try all three. Remember that these are only suggestions, and you do not have to do the assignments. You may share any six photographs that you like, but do keep them in good taste.

For our next monthly assignments, you might be looking for: Silver and Chrome, Two in One, or My Reflection. If you have any other ideas, please feel free to email or call me.

Please bring no more than six (6) images and a title image (this is new) to share. You may present your photographs as digital files (Cd's, thumbdrives, or memory cards), or as finished prints. Prints should be at least eight by ten inches, and larger is always better. If you do bring prints, be sure to let me know at the beginning of the meeting, so I won't forget to allow time for you to share.

I am always looking for guest presentations for the group. If you, or someone you know, would like to do a short 15-30 minute presentation that the group would find interesting, let me know. (Please!)
