About us
Digging Deep Into Our Local Soil is a community of people who enjoy getting their hands dirty and learning more about what it takes to grow food and flowers in our specific climate. We started this group because we believe that gardening is best done together, whether you are looking for tips on managing soil health, trying to figure out which crops thrive in our local conditions, or just wanting to help out with some seasonal maintenance in our shared garden spaces. It is a space for us to share our successes, troubleshoot our challenges, and learn from one another through practice rather than just books.
We hold regular meetups to work in our plots, trade extra seeds or starts, and discuss what is currently happening in our gardens. You do not need to be an expert to join us; we welcome anyone with an interest in learning how to cultivate a patch of land. Our goal is to grow a resilient, productive space while getting to know our neighbors better.
