On Wednesday, 14th October it's our free monthly Digibury get-together at the Gulbenkian in Canterbury.

We've got three interesting speakers lined up to share their experiences with you...

Lizzie Hodgson - "How the power of collaboration can help challenge founder mentality."

Lizzie is founder ofThinkNation (https://twitter.com/thinknat) - where young people, artists and thought leaders tackle the big tech questions impacting everyday life and shaping our futures.

Dr Tim Long (http://www.thingdom.com/) - "Hybrid bodies: bringing the digital to life."

Digital Media, in its virtual form is untouchable, virtual, non-tactile. Yet animal and organic life is excluded, shut out from the virtual existence.

Through demonstrations and case studies Tim's talk explores hybrid practices, that involves solid hand crafted wooden objects, and their relationship with the digital world and it’s all pervasive, virtual presence.

Tim studied Fine Art at St Martins and the Royal College of Art, and in 2012 was awarded a Phd from UCL for his practice-related thesis that discusses the relationship between subject and object in art practice. Tim is a Senior Lecturer and Programme Director of Digital Media at Canterbury Christ Church University.

Peter Morris - "Capturing the North Downs Way for Google." North Downs Way trail manager Peter Morris will be talking about how his team of volunteers worked with Google Trekker to capture the 153-mile North Downs Way (http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-33734828) with cameras on their backs to create a virtual tour.

And don't forget...
