Re-thinking healthcare for the 21st Century

Details
It may be hard to remember this in the midst of COVID-19, but the coming years have the potential to be the most exciting time ever to be involved in healthcare as we are at the dawn of the biggest revolution in science, medicine and healthcare in human history.
The coming years will bring huge new advances in the tools, treatments and capabilities needed to address both the treatment of ill health but also the underlying causes of ill health. These new capabilities offer the possibility of realising the dream of bringing prevention, healthcare and social care together into a more powerful and unified framework.
This potential will only be realised if enough of us can see beyond the fog created by the short term demands of our legacy institutions and business models, to re-imagine what a shared systems-wide future could like once all these new capabilities land at scale over the next 10-15 years. And then have the will and ambition to make it happen.
‘Health Beyond the Fog ’ is a ground-breaking report commissioned by the Royal Free Charity supported by a steering group of senior executives from across the healthcare ecosystem that shone a light on this future and its profound implications for the entire healthcare ecosystem moving forwards.
Join the Beyond the Fog report authors and co-founders of the not for profit Vision4Health; Andy Wilkins and Richard Gold on Thursday 9th July at 18:00 (BST) as they host a webinar session “Beyond the Fog: Rethinking Healthcare in a technology enabled 21st Century” that will explore an exciting and inspiring vision of the future. The webinar will cover:
• Why is long term thinking so important?
• What are the mega trends that will re-shape healthcare?
• What would a new shared vision for health and care look like?
• How will new technology reshape how care is delivered?
• How do we start to chart a course that embraces the future?
