The Lost Art of Paying Attention
Put the phone down, pick up a brush: a sunset evening in Athens ๐ŸŽจ

Rooftop terrace Tavros area, Athens | ๐Ÿ“… Friday 31st July - 18:00 | โฑ 3.5 hours | ๐Ÿ‘ฅ Max 10 people | ๐ŸŽŸ 25โ‚ฌ

The light in Athens at sunset is something else. Warm, golden, slow: the kind that makes you want to put your phone down and just look.
That's exactly what this evening is about.

We're gathering on a private terrace with a view over the city for 3,5 hours of healthy aperitif, painting, journaling, and conversations about something most of us think about but rarely say out loud: our relationship with technology, and what it's doing to our ability to simply be present.

When did you last do one thing at a time? When did you last look at something without reaching for your phone to photograph it, share it, or caption it? Painting does something to the brain that almost nothing else does: it demands your full attention. And for most of us, that's become the rarest feeling in the world.

The evening unfolds like this:

  • Fresh vegetarian handmade aperitif and drinks to settle in and enjoy the view,
  • Welcome and opening circle: why we're here, how we're arriving,
  • A conversation about attention and technology, why our focus keeps disappearing and why that's not entirely our fault (led by Vero),
  • Guided painting session as the light turns golden (led by Michi), no experience needed),
  • Journaling and reflection as the sun goes down,
  • A practical integration session: simple tools you can actually use on Monday morning,
  • Sharing circle and one small intention for the week ahead,
  • Free time, networking, and whatever the evening becomes.

Your host
This evening is led by Veronica, certified Digital Wellness Educator, marketing professional with a background in psychology, and digital nomad who has lived and worked across 5 continents over the past 7 years and paid the price for it.
Years of constant connectivity, always-on work culture, and life lived largely through a screen eventually led her to burnout. That experience became a turning point: a reason to slow down, to study, and to understand how technology was shaping her life in ways she hadn't consciously chosen. Out of that journey came a deep commitment to helping others do the same.
She is the founder of The Digital Awareness Community, with the mission of helping individuals, remote workers, and teams understand how addictive technology is engineered to hijack their attention and build the awareness and habits to take it back. Because you are not powerless, you get to decide how technology fits into your life.
