Q&A with Joe Hollier, Co-founder of Light Phone

Hi all,

We have a really special November event for you: a Q&A with Joe Hollier, the Co-Founder of Light, makers of the Light Phone!

This was a really fun event last year and members gave a lot of good feedback on it, so we're doing it again! Light Phone is one of my favorite Brooklyn startups. First off, they make an excellent product - The Light Phone - which is a calmer substitute to today's notification-heavy mobile devices. I use it and it's great. They also share a lot of the same values as our Digital Detox NYC meetup, namely promoting a more thoughtful use of devices so we can be calmer, more present, and make deeper connections with each other. Now onto Joe. He's not your typical startup founder. He's a designer and artist by trade, having previously started a design studio, a skateboard company, and worked as an animator, film maker, and illustrator. He graduated from the School of Visual Arts as valedictorian, and loves his cat and the color yellow (hopefully in that order). Want more? Checkout his art and his LinkedIn.
