Meetup at Connected Health Summit

Details

I'm pleased to announce a special opportunity extended to our group by Parks Associates, host of the Connected Health Summit: Engaging Consumers (http://www.parksassociates.com/events/connected-health) on September 4-5 at the Omni Hotel San Diego.

Members of the Digital Health LA Meetup group will receive a discounted registration rate by using the promotional code for Digital Health LA Meetup when registering online. Contact me for the discount code. Any questions about the event can be sent to Julia Homier, Marketing Associate, Parks Associates at julia.homier@parksassociates.com .

This executive conference focuses on the mHealth and consumer-centric health and wellness markets and features industry thought leaders, networking opportunities with healthcare business leaders, and interactive panel discussions on increasing consumer engagement, producing better care outcomes, and growing revenues and building new business models in this expanding market.

The summit will focus on four areas of consumer health technologies in particular, which all require active consumer participation to be successful: (1) remote health monitoring for accountable care, (2) consumer-centric wellness and fitness solutions, (3) independent living technologies and services, and (4) innovative convenience care models.

Keynote speakers include:

-- James Mault, M.D., F.A.C.S., Vice President and Chief Medical Officer, Qualcomm Life

-- John Mattison, Chief Medical Information Officer, Kaiser Permanente

-- Chris Nicholson, VP and COO, Humana Wellness

-- Ronald J. Ozminkowski, Ph.D., Chief Scientific Officer, Consumer Solutions Group, Optum

-- Adam Pellegrini, Vice President, Digital Health, Walgreens
-- Chris Young, Vice President New Virtual Market Development and Incubations, Ascension Health

Parks Associates has been studying the Digital Health Sector since 2006, analyzing the development of this market and the implication for multiple connected home industries. The event agenda (http://www.parksassociates.com/events/connected-health/agenda) reflects this long-term expertise, covering all aspects from back-end technology solutions and regulations to consumer-facing health devices and apps.

In addition to the negotiated discount for our members, they have arranged to have a table designated for our group at the hosted lunches both days. This will give us an opportunity to reconnect with members of our group in addition to educational and networking opportunities at the conference.

One of my goals as convenor of this group is to present opportunities to expand our knowledge base of all things "digital health" and to build collaborative relationships.
