Dene Grigar is Professor and Director of The Creative Media & Digital Culture Program at Washington State University Vancouver. She has been involved in creating and teaching digital media works and tools and writing about digital media since 1990. In 1993 she was the first person in North Texas to create a webpage for research and in 1995, the first to defend a dissertation in a virtual reality space. She has authored 14 media works such as “Curlew” (2014), “A Villager’s Tale” (2011), the “24-Hour Micro E-Lit Project” (2009), “When Ghosts Will Die” (2008), and “Fallow Field: A Story in Two Parts" (2005), as well as 54 scholarly articles and three books. She is President of the Electronic Literature Organization, Associate Editor of Leonardo Digital Reviews and Literary Studies in the Digital Age (LSDA), and a series editor for Electronic Literature, with Bloomsbury Press. In 2017 she was awarded the Lewis E. and Stella G. Buchanan Distinguished Professorship by her university. She also directs the Electronic Literature Lab at WSUV.
David Mihm is the founder and Chief Cat Herder at Tidings, a Portland startup whose low-cost product builds awesome mobile-friendly newsletters for small businesses.
He’s the former co-founder and CEO of local search company GetListed.org, which he sold to Moz in 2012, and a co-founder of the Local University conference series.
Scott Fish owns 32 Degrees Digital located in Vancouver. He has been addicted to search, social and figuring out which channels to use to drive leads for companies since 2001. His passion is working within the hospitality and small business industry. He loves traveling and you'll find him on the racquetball courts when he's not dissecting Google's algorithm. Scott also is on the Oregon Historical Society Cabinet and works with local companies such as the Oregon Symphony, Visiting Angels, and Winderlea Vineyards.
Kevin Getch is the Founder and Director of Digital Strategy here at Webfor. He is a small business advocate and enjoys speaking on SEO, website best practices and the future of digital marketing. He has been quoted and published on leading sites like Forbes, Huffington Post, Search Engine Journal & Mashable. Kevin also volunteers his time at local charities like Boys & Girls Club of SW WA, Share Homeless Shelter and by serving as President of the board of directors for SEMpdx, one of the first non-profits focused on providing education and support to the digital marketing community. When he's not helping businesses elevate their brand online and grow their business he publishes a podcast called Give, Grow & Be Grateful and spends time with his amazing wife Jennifer and two beautiful children.
