What we're about
The Digital Divide is a gap between the way certain people use and access information technology & communication in their daily lives, including the skills to make use of those technologies within communities. The Digital Citizen program aims to close that gap for the Liberty City community in South Florida and beyond.
EcoTech Visions, founded by Dr. Pandwe Gibson, is a results-oriented business incubator and accelerator that is wholeheartedly committed to building tremendous value for their clients, employees, and shareholders. It is EcoTech’s mission to create an engaged atmosphere where green-based start-ups can successfully plan, launch, market, and grow their businesses while simultaneously extending into the marketplace and creating positive net profits in a friendly, moral, and ethical manner.
The Digital Citizen Bootcamp extends this effort and is directed and taught by Carlos Vazquez, a technology professor at Miami Dade College, entrepreneur, and social justice advocate, to engineer a solution to the key social and economic challenge presented by the Digital Divide that exists in Liberty City.
