Tokenisation in the Construction Sector

Details
A wide ranging forum to discuss ideas to tokenise any business in the global construction sector.
There will be short presentations from a number of speakers who are exploring the use of blockchain in construction.
SPEAKERS ALREADY CONFIRMED
Tim Rook
Tim works for IBM as a blockchain specialist in the industrial, construction and engineering sector. He has extensive construction sector experience in Design, renewables and working closely with regulators. Recent innovation experience includes building the UK’s largest combined solar thermal & heat pump plant and developing a blockchain based permit system for safe systems of work.
He will be looking beyond: process efficiency driven by “standard blockchain”, to what must incumbents do to thrive in this new era of tokenisation
Henry Fenby Taylor
Henry is a speaker, author, landscape architect and head of BIM. His leading role in dotBUILTenvironment has given him a breadth of experience across the built environment that underpins his approach to digital implementation.
Henry has been undertaking policy research into tokenisation of the built environment and infrastructure. Henry will be examining specific use cases surrounding intellectual property, contracts and many of the other sticking points around a fragmented supply chain that affects the built environment.
Will Squires
Will is a Senior Consultant at Atkins, heading up the Building Design division’s digital team. An unusual combination of data scientist, engineer, planner and strategist, Will works internally and externally with Atkins' key clients to help future-proof and innovate within the construction industry.
An expert on smart cities, data, digital engineering and the impact of emerging technology on construction and the built environment, Will’s research focuses around real-time city data, the challenges of long-term urban development and understanding spatial and temporal effects of design.
Alpesh Doshi
Founder and CEO of Fintricity specialising in blockchain for asset management.
Alpesh is a globally renowned thought leader in how organisations can transform and future-proof their business using emerging technologies, particularly around digital, big data & analytics and blockchain. Huw will talk about trust in the construction sector, and how blockchain and how a token can be used to help build that trust, using BIM, Smart Contracts and automated contracting.
Sarah Louise Johnson
Sarah is the community manager at Etch.work which is one of the first blockchain companies to focus on human resources and payments through the construction sector.
Etch uses smart contracts to reduce administrative burdens and also allows employees to be paid in tokens or cash as soon as their shift concludes.
We already have people attending from Fosters & Partners, Atkins Global, Mace, Turner Townsend and ISG.
Due to the interest we have received, this will be an all ticket event. Please register at eventbrite here https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/tokenisation-for-the-construction-sector-tickets-44440611064
