Progress, Partnerships and Grounds Breaking Projects

Details

Hi All,

Apologies for silence the past months. I have been busy personally but have also been working on this initiative in a subtle way. Some of the things we have been working on and still in the pipeline are :

  1. Registration as a charity in order to become a corporate body to enable us engage with corporate organisations
  2. Website - working out content and well as how to use it to drive some of our objectives. Website now in progress
  3. Projects:
-Digital transformation strategy for print media in Africa
-Integrated cloud infrastructure for small and medium scale print
    media businesses in Africa
    -Workshop on Digital Transformation
-Workshop on Agile, DevOps and Cloud Engineering
  4. Lots of communication with different stakeholders, and forging potential business partnerships

So in this meetup scheduled for September 3 , 6pm-8pm , we will bring progress reports on all of these, implore interested members to jump on the projects listed above or other ones, have a speaker for the day, build backlog of projects/prioritise them, and identify the relevant capability groups and think tanks.

Revised Agenda

6pm - 6:20pm : Arrival , networking , nibbles

6:20 pm - 6:45 pm - Presentation: Digital Strategy and Integrated Cloud Infrastructure ideas

6:45 pm - 7.00 pm - Presentation: "Blockchain in Africa" by Santhosh Palavesh

7.00 pm - 7.20 pm - Presentation: "Our Engagements & Developments" where we will look at progress so far, tour of website and update on charity registration. We will also look at how we hope to carry people along, and lastly plans going forward in terms of projects, roles, and the nature of subsequent 3-monthly events

7:20pm - 7:55pm: Projects backlog building and prioritisation. We will identify the think tanks and capability groups the projects might need at each stage of implementation.

7:55pm - 8:00pm: More contributions and questions

Because we are not the conventional meetup group, my hope is that we meet every 3 months to discuss progress , while think tank members liaise continuously to implement projects.

Suggestions are welcome.

We will keep you abreast of changes if any

Thanks all for your patience, we are getting there!

Anthony
