Second Annual Black History Month Celebration with DigitalOcean
Details
Hello to our NYC tech community,
We invite you to join us on Feb 28th for our Second Annual Black History Month Celebration!
The goal of the event is to provide the local Black tech community (and allies) with inspiration via a panel discussion and access to resources available at DigitalOcean including mentors for engineers, recruiter insights, and resume advice. That as well as complementary professional headshots.

After the panel, willing guests will be invited into stations and attendees are welcome to roam freely or spend time connecting with other local technologists. Here are some of the stations we have planned for you:
---- Engineering mentors - DO Engineers will be available to review code with you, take a look at a side project and give feedback or just talk about how they got started in engineering. Bring your laptop if you would like to dive into your code.
--- Career corner - stop by the Career station for career guidance. DO Recruiters will be available to review resumes, answer job-searching questions and even help you prepare for your next interview. Be sure to bring your resume if you’d like to review it.
You will have an opportunity to sign up for these resources upon attending the event. We’re also working on securing a speaker with extensive experience in technology.
