7:15 Paddle Out! - Bioluminescence Kayaking
Bioluminescence is light produced by living organisms. On dark nights in Tomales Bay, tiny creatures called dinoflagellates create bluish-white flashes when disturbed, offering a spectacular show for kayakers. Seals and herons chasing the fish may be spotted creating glowing trails in the water.
This phenomenon is only visible when both sun and moon are down. Evening paddles offer good viewing opportunities.
Note: Bioluminescence is a naturally occurring phenomenon and we cannot guarantee that you will see Bioluminescence. Trips are scheduled during ideal conditions for best chances of seeing this magical display.
9:30 Return to Hearts Desire Beach
