What we’re about
Dining and Adventures is a meetup group intended to bring together adult singles and couples for social activities. Dinners, dances, concerts, karaoke, theatrical productions, bonfires, etc. are events you should expect to see posted here in this group.
The Seacoast areas of New Hampshire and southern Maine extending over to Rochester and along Route 16 down to Hampton Beach will be the primary locations for events. But we are also considering activities in the lake and mountain areas of New Hampshire which may even include overnight stays for couples.
If there is a need to cancel an event due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances, members will be notified no later than 7:00 p.m. the day before !!
All prospective members must have a recent profile picture for accceptance into the group!!
This group is also on Facebook
Let's get out and socialize, meet new friends and share some adventures together!!!

See all- Dinner at Christopher's Followed by a Billy Joel Tribute at The Strand on May 10Christopher's 3rd St Grill, Dover, NH
Thank GOD spring is here and most of the bad weather is behind us. While searching for an event to bring to our group we noticed that "Captain Jack and the Strangers" presenting " A Tribute To Billy Joel" was playing at The Strand Theater in Dover on Saturday evening May 10. I always liked Billy Joel's music so why not arrange an event featuring his music and dinner next door at Christopher's Third St Grille!!
DO NOT PARK ACROSS THE STREET IN THE BANK'S PARKING LOT !!!!
We will meeting at 6:00 p.m. inside Christophers . It's not a large restaurant so we only have reservations for up to eight people but maybe we can increase that if needed. Ask for the Meetup table with Jim and Debbie.
The Strand is conveniently located next door and the show begins at 8:00 . We have General Admission tickets so maybe we can sit together depending on available seats when we arrive.
When you reserve for the event it's for dining since seating is limited. Anyone can attend the Strand concert without limit if you can purchase tickets. And I hope maybe we can sit together !!

Our group disclaimer applies to this and all events!! Drink responsibly and Drive carefully as your lives depend on it !! - Noon Walk Along Scenic Drive in Gilford Saturday May 17Ellacoya State Park, Gilford, NH
Every day I'm fortunate enough to enjoy a daily walk along the shores of Lake Winnipesaukee in Gilford. So I was thinking why not share it with my friends in Meetup.
This will be a little different than my normal walk but I thought we would begin at Ellacoya State Park where there is limited on street parking along the side of the road. We would start walking due west along Lake Winnipesaukee all the way to Lincoln Park which is a small area with picnic tables overlooking our beautiful lake . I was thinking we could rest there for a while and take in the scenery and then start heading back to where we started. Total walk will be about three and a half miles and I'm sure all of us will enjoy the scenery. A beautiful lake with mountains in the background !!
I encourage you to bring something to drink because refreshments will no be provided. Afterwards we can consider lunch In Alton Bay at Shibley's but as of now reservations have not been set up. We can discuss this in the event chat in the days leading up to the event.
I'm going to set up a limit of ten people simply because free parking will be limited ,but maybe we can change that as we get closer to May 17th. There seems to be some interest in walking and hiking in this group so I'm hoping many will find this appealing. This will give us a chance to walk off some of these dinners and maybe begin to incorporate daily walking in our lives! In the months ahead I'm hoping to set up walks in Wells, York and Hampton Beach.
Noon starting time may be flexible !
Thank GOD for natural beauty !!

Most of the bands playing I've never heard of or listened to . My suggestions are based on the few that we are familiar with , tributes to bands or artists we have enjoyed over the years, or groups that have posted songs that they perform.

- Laconia Motorcycle week June 14 to June June 22, 2025Weirs Beach, Weirs Beach, NH
Annual Motorcycle Week has arrived in Laconia, NH., and centered in Weirs Beach. This will be the 102nd annual event making this the oldest Motorcycle Rally in the USA! Beginning Saturday morning June 14 and continuing up through Sunday June 22, 2025 there will be a variety of festivities, and events with tens of thousands of bikers coming to town .
We are still awaiting the schedule of events but when they are available
they can be found here: Just click the link below:Still a couple months away so there is still time to plan . The link above can also provide suggestions for lodging if you so desire. One year Debbie and I attended dressed as bikers just to have fun but neither of us ride motorcycles. At the event we can gather together as a group or just visit individually and enjoy the week with friends. I live in Gilford and normally visit the festivities at least a couple times since with all the noise you can't sleep anyhow. My son and I enjoy the events each year and we just want members of our Meetup Group to know what's happening this June in Laconia in case anyone is interested.
This is a huge event in The Lakes Region of New Hampshire. Hope to see some of you there !!!
