The Golden Eagle Concert Band goes on a “Road Trip” with a concert on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at 2 p.m. at the Wheat Ridge Center for Music and Arts, located in Wheat Ridge United Methodist Church. This lively and imaginative performance transforms the concert hall into an open highway, complete with a charismatic radio DJ guiding the journey.

Admission is free; a suggested donation of $10 is appreciated.

Audiences will travel across the United States through music that celebrates iconic cities, states, and landmarks all from the comfort of their seats.
Serving as your on-air host for the evening is the ever-entertaining DJ (moonlighting as a saxophonist) Charlie Cournoyer, broadcasting “live” on his Radio Show, “Cruisin’ with Charlie”.
With humor, charm, and a perfectly curated playlist, Charlie will lead listeners from one destination to the next, creating the feeling of a classic American road trip with windows down, music up, and endless miles ahead.
The program features a vibrant mix of beloved favorites and Americana-inspired works, including classics like “New York, New York” and “Oklahoma!”, alongside other musical tributes to destinations across the country.

We will be joined by Social Singles 60+ Meetup group.

We will meet in the lobby at 1:40 and sit down about 1:45.
