Ping Pong Forever

The Diplomacy Ping Pong club in West Chester closed during COVID. We now meet at Exton Ping Pong. Here's my summary of it. For historical reasons, the original Diplomacy Ping Pong description is appended below it. --Fred

Details:
Exton Table Tennis (ExTT), a new ping pong club, opened in Exton PA in late October last year. I just heard about it from Vikram Baddela who used to play with us at Diplomacy Ping Pong. Open 7 days/week!

I swung by and played Friday night, for the 1st time in over 5 years. Met the owner Deepak Gupta. I was a little rusty, but played OK. LOTS of very good players. Madhu was there. So was Vikram. No other Diplomacy folks that I noticed. Total of about 12-15 people playing. At the 4 tables, there were a doubles game and 3 singles games.

I was very impressed with the diversity of players. A few VERY good. People like Madhu that I may never beat. A bunch at about my level. A few less skilled. A couple beginners. A couple of us old white guys, 1-2 Black guys, several Indian folks including 1 woman, and perhaps 1-2 other Asians. Some as young as 20-30. Some even older than me, I think. Pictures at the web site show some kids too. Perhaps Vikram's 2 daughters among them? Good mix! Should be fun to play there.

Similar to the old Diplomacy Ping Pong in West Chester:

- On US 30 between US 202 and PA 100. Only 3.5 miles from my house! Great location, convenient to Exton, Frazer, Malvern, Downingtown, West Chester, etc. And VERY easy access to US 202 for KoP or Delaware, or into Philly via I-76.

- Free coaching for women
- 2 coaches already available, a female coach being sought
- Doubles tournaments
- Spindex League (must have Spindex ID, will generate ratings)
- 7 days/week, including at least:
- Mon: 5:30-8:30
- Tue: 5:30-8:30
- Wed: 5:30-8:30 (coaching and open play)
- Thu: 5:30-8:30
- Fri: 5:30-8:30
- Sat:
- 2-3:30 (kids group coaching may limit open play)
- 3:30-5 (adults group coaching may limit open play)
- 5-7 (open play)
- Sun:
- 2-3:30 (kids group coaching may limit open play)
- 3:30-7 (open play)
- Expanding into other office suites in the building if more space is needed.

Inviting all ping pong lovers to join the group and have lots of fun and good exercise. 
With enough people in the group I can setup time and day to meet up at the new facility in West Chester: Diplomacy Ping Pong Club (https://diplomacypingpong.com/). Since it's a new club they don't show up on Google Maps yet. They have 5 brand new Killerspin tables, clean facility and owners are very welcoming. Facility has a changing room and place to store your stuff.
