What we’re about
This group is for people of all backgrounds interested in exploring the variety of black-owned businesses that the city has to offer, through fun, casual visits that give an opportunity to browse, learn, shop, support and meet the people behind the businesses. We also visit vendor fairs that bring together online and brick-and-mortar black-owned businesses, along with dining at restaurants from across the diaspora. Occasionally, we even take in a black-created movie, performance or exhibit.
Please note our No-Show policy: Please honor your “Yes” RSVPs by attending. If you’re not able to attend, please be considerate to your fellow group members, the business owners, and me, and update your RSVP at least 1 day before the scheduled start of the meetup.
Be transparent. This group requires a profile photo to join. If you don't have a photo of yourself in your avatar, I'll ask you to upload one if you've RSVPd for a meetup, at my discretion. I and the other group members like putting a name to a face!
